Equipment Description

This Carbon Monoxide (CO) Detector provides an immediate alert when dangerous CO emissions are detected in a home (in the same way as a smoke alarm alerts the user to smoke), by triggering an audible alarm and sending an alert through a base/home unit to a Monitoring Centre. The Monitoring Centre will then normally talk to the user (through a speaker on the base unit, without the need for the phone to be picked up), discuss their needs and then send help if this is required. The base unit can also be set up to call a relative or friend prior to calling the monitoring centre. NOTE: This is a useful product for anyone who has gas appliances or gas heating as any appliance can have a fault and emit CO. The Detector is battery operated (with an approx battery life of 2 years) and will automatically trigger an alert to the Monitoring Centre when the battery needs to be changed.
