Advice if you are being home schooled

Where parents or carers choose to educate their children at home, the local authority and other partners will often have limited scope to provide advice or support for young people making a post-16 transition. However, these young people have the same learner entitlements as those attending school or learning elsewhere, and the local authority and partners can be involved to help home educated young people to know about opportunities and supports available to them.

If you are being home schooled but would like to know more about additional support for children and young people, please call the Transition Team on 01698 332799.
