Local services which could help you take some time out from your caring role
Carers Support can be available in many forms and it is recognised that carers health and well-being is very important. There are a wide range of services to help you look after your own health and well-being. These include access to a short break and complimentary therapies/pamper sessions. Please contact Lanarkshire Carers for more information and to register for these services.
Other services that are available to help you look after your own health include free, time limited access to North Lanarkshire Leisure facilities. We also recognise that this can be something else to add to your 'to do list', so if you need a little more support to access all the services available then North Lanarkshire Carers Together can do this on your behalf.
Alternatively, to access free physical activity and leisure opportunities call the health and well-being manager for North Lanarkshire Leisure on 01236 618310. They will discuss the best leisure option for you and book your enrolment session. Your G.P. or health care worker will also have to complete the North Lanarkshire Leisure Get Active Referral Form. There are also leisure discount schemes available in North Lanarkshire such as Passport to Leisure. For information please see the separate PDF attached to this message.
