My baby has reflux does this mean I should delay solids?

Begin weaning between 17 weeks and 6 months as normal. Don't delay, as it may help with the reflux due to solids being thicker than milk.

Reflux is very common and should improve. Keeping them in a more upright position tends to help. Try to avoid long periods where they not upright, for example in a car seat. It is normal for babies to cry whilst feeding and bring up mouthfuls of milk. Keep calm and try not to worry if they are growing well.

If they are not putting on weight then arrange to see your health visitor or G.P. as soon as possible.
