Why is my child going to the toilet too much?
There are various causes if your child is pooing more than you expect:
- They may be eating too much fibre.
- It could be an allergy to something like cows milk, or some other allergy.
- It may be due to bacteria picked up whilst teething, causing diarrhoea.
- Your child could have been constipated and things are now clearing out.
- Eating a lot of fizzy or sugary foods and drinks such as sugar free gum or sweets can cause more toilet visits.
- Vaccinations can also affect how often they go to the toilet, so if your child has had one recently then bear this in mind.
