Safer Homes, is a joint partnership service with North Lanarkshire Council and offers a free service to householders from North Lanarkshire who would benefit from additional safety and security measures. The team have been carrying out the Safer Homes service since October 2012, and have received more than 2060 referrals, visited over 2,500 properties, installed over 9,000 pieces of safety equipment.
To request a referral for a Safer Homes assessment please contact either your local Housing or Social Work Office.

North Lanarkshire Council have a team of Rehabilitation and Mobility Officers who support people with a sensory impairment. They can provide information and practical advice to enable you to be as independent as possible.
They can be contacted through your local Social Work Office.

New online debt system launched
An online form is now available for anyone who needs debt advice. Residents can make a request online, any time that suits day or night.
The form is part of a new system for managing the council's debt advice service and provides a confidential, accessible way to digitally sign required paperwork upload evidence and receive correspondence.
To complete the form, residents must use a MyAccount, which is quick and easy to set up and allows residents to access a number of services including reporting a housing or bin issue, paying Council Tax and booking a special uplift.
